PEACHES GELDOF TO DIVORCE HUSBAND AFTER SIX MONTHS

Peaches Geldof and musician husband Max Drummey are to divorce after six months, the couple have announced.

Ms Geldof, the 19-year-old daughter of Live Aid boss Bob Geldof, had married Chester French member Mr Drummey, 24, after a one-month courtship.

But after months of speculation about their marriage, the couple have released a statement confirming they are to divorce.

"After much soul- searching we have made a mutual decision to end our marriage and have agreed to go our separate ways," the statement said.

"Our parting is amicable and both of us still respect and care about each other immensely.

"There were no other people involved in this decision and we both look forward to a future as good friends."

Geldof had admitted just three months into her marriage that she did not expect the nuptials to last.
