PAVEMENT TO REFORM?

PAVEMENT are considering reforming for an appearance at this year's Coachella festival, it has emerged.

The acclaimed indie band split up in 1999 after playing a farewell gig at London's Brixton Academy.

However, guitarist Scott Kannberg has said a reunion for the music event is a possibility, adding that the band has put past difficulties behind them.

"2009 would be our 20-year anniversary too, so that'd be a good time to do it, but I think that's too soon, it might have to be pushed back later," he told Loud And Quiet.

"Coachella keep asking our booking agent but our booking agent's pretty strong. He's waiting for the right number, I think."

Bassist Mark Ibold and singer Stephen Malkmus said last year that they would be willing to work together as a band again.

Other names rumoured to be lined-up for headline slots at this year's Coachella include THE KILLERS and BLUR.
