PAUL WELLER ADDED TO HOP FARM EVENT

PAUL WELLER has been added to the line up for this year's Hop Farm Festival, it has been revealed.

The singer, who has had hits with songs including Wild Wood, will perform at the event which takes place at Paddock Wood in Kent on July 4th and 5th.

As well as the former star of THE JAM, music lovers will be able to catch acts including EDITORS, DOVES, ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN and THE PIGEON DETECTIVES at the event.

Weller will headline the Sunday night of the festival, while the Pigeon Detectives are top of the bill for the Saturday.

Psychedelia fans might also be pleased to hear that Welsh outfit SUPER FURRY ANIMALS will be putting an appearance in at the festival.

Recently, Weller urged former SEX PISTOL JOHN LYDON to stop clinging to the past.

He urged Lydon to "leave it" because you can "never recapture what has gone".
