PARTON HONOURED AT LONDON'S SQUARE OF FAME
Country music superstar DOLLY PARTON was entered into London's Wembley Square of Fame yesterday (25MAR07), with the unveiling of a plaque of her handprints.
The JOLENE singer, who revealed the plaque in a commemorative ceremony prior to her stadium performance, was honoured for her 40-year contribution to the music industry.
The Square, which was inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, also contains plaques of superstars including MADONNA, GEORGE MICHAEL and KYLIE MINOGUE.
Parton, 61, said, "It is wonderful to be performing here at Wembley and an honour to leave my handprints in the Square.
"I never realised just how small my hands are!"
