PALTROW TARGETS "EVIL" CANCER
Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow has said that she works hard to ensure her children lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible in an attempt to reduce their risk of cancer.
The 34-year-old actress, who has two children with her husband, the Coldplay singer Chris Martin, said that cancer has been the "curse" of her family.
Her father, aunt, cousin and grandmothers have all died of the disease, leading her to support an anti-cancer campaign backed by Damiani, the jeweller she models for.
Speaking in an interview with an Italian newspaper, Paltrow said that she is tackling the "evil genes" that cause cancer by natural means, including giving her family and herself biological foods to eat.
"I am convinced that by eating biological foods it is possible to avoid the growth of tumours," she said.
"I began this crusade soon after my father's death. Since then the fight against tumours has been my mission."
Last week Paltrow, who has starred in numerous films including Shakespeare In Love, appeared at an auction in New York for Hope Lodge, which provides free housing for adults with cancer.
