PALTROW PREFERS BEING A HOUSEWIFE

Oscar-winner GWYNETH PALTROW prefers being a wife and mother and insists her work at home has been just as fulfilling as her successful acting career. The SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE star took three years off after having her children APPLE, two, and MOSES, 10 months. Paltrow appeared on the OPRAH WINFREY SHOW on Monday (26FEB07), saying she was eager to return to acting. She explained, "I'm really looking forward to it as an artist and as somebody who that part of me has been dormant for a long time. "I've been at home being a housewife, which is amazing and I've loved every second of it." The star, who is married to COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN, claimed being a wife and mother is "definitely the hardest job". She added, "It's 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they want you present and real and connected and there, but it's been the best three years of my life."
