OZZY OSBOURNE RELEASED AFTER SURGERY

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has been released from hospital after having surgery on a blood clot in his leg.

The Black Sabbath frontman was reportedly discharged from the Rose medical centre in Denver, Colorado, yesterday.

According to Denver news station 9News, the 58-year-old was admitted while in the area for Ozzfest 2007, a tour of the US he has organised since its inception in 1996.

He was said to be suffering from serious leg pain and underwent the operation immediately on Saturday before being released the following morning.

Osbourne, the star of hit reality TV show The Osbournes, also had a health scare in December 2003 when he broke a bone in his neck, eight ribs and his collar bone during a quad-biking accident at his Buckinghamshire estate.

He was resuscitated at the Chalfont St Peter property by his bodyguard and required emergency surgery.

Osbourne has a string of hits to his name, but only secured his first UK number one single when he joined up with daughter Kelly for a cover of Black Sabbath tune Changes in 2003.

He was inducted into the UK Hall of Fame in 2005 and last month was the inaugural entrant on the Walk of Stars in his home town of Birmingham.
