OUTKAST STAR COURT DATE CANCELLED

OUTKAST star ANDRE BENJAMIN has escaped a jail sentence by paying a fine in connection with a recent speeding offence.
The R&B and hip-hop star, aka Andre 3000, was arrested in his native Georgia in March (09) after authorities clocked him speeding at almost double the legal limit on a freeway.
The rapper was due to go before a judge on Wednesday (29Apr09) but bypassed the court appearance and possible jail time by settling his $1,200 (£800) debt.
