OSMOND NOT DANCING AFTER ALL

Fans of 1970s pop star DONNY OSMOND will have to wait to see him strut his stuff on the TV dance floor - he won't be among the contestants on the new season of U.S. show DANCING WITH THE STARS. Osmond revealed he was "considering" following in sister Marie's footsteps and signing up for the programme during a TV interview at the beginning of the week (26Jan09), but now he insists he won't be a part of the new show, which debuts this spring (Apr09).
He says, "I'm definitely not doing this upcoming season."
And he admits he's yet to be asked to be a part of the dancing contest: "If there was an offer on the table, I'd do it in the fall (autumn). I would make room for it. Absolutely!"
The new Dancing With The Stars cast will be announced on 9 February (09).
Osmond's sister Marie was among the celebrities who took part in the fifth season of the hit series.
