OSBOURNE STILL STRUGGLES WITH EATING DISORDER

SHARON OSBOURNE is still battling the demons of an eating disorder she has had since she was a teenager.
The 56 year old struggled with bulimia and compulsive eating for years and, although she has managed to keep off the pounds since having gastric band surgery in 1999, she is convinced she will always suffer from feelings of insecurity.
She says, "If I'm honest, I don't think I'll ever be totally free from that. It's much more under control but food for me will never be easy."
And the star admits she often turns to food as a comfort - in the same way her rocker husband Ozzy used alcohol and drugs as an escape.
She adds, "I used it (food) as a shield. It was a way to fend off rejection: you'll never want me, look how fat I am. I'll be the fat, funny one."
