ORGANISERS 'THRILLED' TO SECURE WINEHOUSE PERFORMANCE
The organisers of the Brit Awards are thrilled to have secured a performance by troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE. Bosses behind Wednesday's (20Feb08) London ceremony have confirmed the Back To Black hitmaker is slated to take to the stage at the event alongside producer Mark Ronson to perform their hit single Valerie. And Brits chairman Ged Doherty is delighted. He says, "We are just thrilled to have her appearing at the ceremony. At times it has been a difficult year for Amy but what has never been in doubt is that she is a real talent. "We think that her performance will be one of those Brit 'moments' and it's part of a really strong line-up." Winehouse, who is fresh out of rehab, is nominated for Single Of The Year award along with Ronson for their hit collaboration. They will go up against Take That, Leona Lewis, the Hoosiers and Mika for the coveted prize.
