O'NEAL DETERMINED TO GET IT RIGHT AFTER DRUG SHAME

LATEST: Troubled actress TATUM O'NEAL is determined to win over New York authorities with her efforts as a good citizen and mum after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.
The 44-year-old star, a reforming heroin addict, was arrested by police last month (Jun08) after they spotted her exchanging money with a drug dealer near her New York home.
By pleading guilty to the charges against her, O'Neal avoided jail time, but she was ordered to spend two half-day sessions in a drug treatment program.
And the Paper Moon star insists she's determined to clean up her act so that charges against her will be dropped when she returns to court on 4 September (08).
She says, "I was relieved by the sentence, and now it's back to my kids, the 12 steps (program) and work."
