ONE TAKES ONE'S PLACE AT GLAMOUR'S TOP TABLE

Queen Elizabeth II has been named in Vogue's list of the world's most glamorous women.

A surprise choice, the monarch makes the Top 50 Definitive List of Today's Glamorous Women, with her distinctive style and 'iconic haircut' propelling her into the list.

Now the 81-year-old finds herself in the company of the world's top models, with Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer also in the top 50.

Published in the December issue of the 'style bible' magazine, the list suggests the Queen has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity as result of the Oscar-winning film THE QUEEN in which Dame Helen Mirren - herself also on the list - played the part of the royal.

Vogue claims the Queen is "as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral as she is wearing the crown jewels".

Other names on the list included Naomi Campbell and Jemima Khan.
