OMEN STAR PLEADS FOR CASH AFTER FALL
OMEN guitarist KENNY POWELL is appealing to fans to make cash donations to the band - after bass player JODY HENRY was seriously injured in an accident. Henry suffered a fractured skull after a fall last week (ends28Dec07), but Powell claims he cannot receive adequate healthcare because he has no health insurance. Powell has set up an online account so fans can donate money towards medical bills, according to Blabbermouth.net. He says, "Original OMEN bass player Jody Henry was severely injured in a fall last week and is suffering from a fractured skull. "While he is doing much better than anyone expected, he still faces a long and costly rehab. Unfortunately, he has no health insurance like the rest of us (musicians), and a fund has been set up on MySpace where interested parties can contribute to helping with his medical and personal bills. "Jody and myself had already been discussing doing some future projects at the time of his accident. Hopefully he will have a complete recovery and there will be new music in the near future from the original OMEN songwriters."
