OLDMAN IGNORES DIFFICULTIES WITH COPPOLA

Actor GARY OLDMAN holds director FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA in high regard, despite their difficulties filming Bram Stoker's Dracula in 1992. The Batman Begins actor writes off his negative experience as the famed director struggling with inner-demons. He tells British film magazine Empire, "Francis and I, I think we were both... I certainly don't think he was in a good place with things (during Dracula's filming), and I don't think I was either, so we kind of butted heads. But when we could focus on it, and we got down to it, it worked. Physically it was exhausting; it was a long shoot, six months. "I still look back and am thankful. I love Francis. He's got his demons, but we all have. We've all had difficult times in our lives."
