OJ PUBLISHER SLAMS ANTI-SEMITIC CLAIMS

LATEST: The publisher fired because of her involvement with the controversial OJ SIMPSON book has rubbished claims she labels Jews "rodents". Two publishing insiders allege JUDITH REGAN is anti-Semitic, according to the New York Daily News. The first unnamed source tells the publication, "I heard her say it multiple times. She thought Jews looked or acted like rats. She called them 'rodentia'." Another anonymous insider adds, "I can attest to that. She would call them 'rodentia'. She would just say it in passing. Did I ask her why? I didn't even want to go down that road with her." However, Regan's lawyer BERT FIELDS has dismissed the claims as made-up. He says, "She unequivocally denies saying any such thing. She never called Jews rodents or said they looked like rodents. It's absolutely false. It's a lie. "I've known Judith for many years. She uses colourful language, but I've never heard her use any racial or religious slurs. I can't speak about sexual orientation. "There are a lot of people she's had fights with. If I find out who's saying this stuff, I will sue them." Regan has publicly defended the controversial Simpson book project, IF I DID IT, in which the former US football star hypothetically discussed how he would have killed his wife NICOLE and her friend RON GOLDMAN. She was fired last weekend (begs15DEC06) by HarperCollins.
