ODDBALL OTWAY TAKES FANS ON WORLD TOUR
Oddball British rocker JOHN OTWAY is ferrying 350 of his most fervent fans around the world as he performs a string of shows in Japan, China, Australia, France and America. The BUNSEN BURNER singer, who is famous for his fan-related publicity stunts, has chartered a private jet to fly fans from gig to gig as he embarks on a world tour with former SQUEEZE star GLENN TILBROOK. Tilbrook says, "I think that's such a great idea. I'm doing three of the dates in Liverpool, New York and Las Vegas, playing acoustic guitar. "I admire him for doing it but the headache of organising it I could do without. Each person is paying four or five thousand pounds for the ticket but he can't use their money to guarantee the jet. "He has to raise that independently for God knows how many thousands of pounds. I admire him, so that's why I want to do it. I hope I play on the plane. I think that'll be fun."
