NUMAN BABY TRAUMA
Pop singer GARY NUMAN faced an agonising wait to see if his daughter ECHO would survive after she was born with severe respiratory problems.
The Cars hitmaker was ecstatic about the birth of his third child, after being told by doctors he and his partner Gemma were unable to have children.
After years of heartache with failed IVF treatments, the couple became parents to three tots; Raven, 5, Persia, 4, and baby Echo.
But Numan was petrified as doctors battled to save their youngest daughter when she was born premature last year (07).
He says, "The first month was horrible. Echo was born OK and quite premature. Within an hour, her lung started to stick and her breathing became strange.
"They whisked her away and put tubes all over her. It was really bad and we were really worried about her. It took two weeks for her to come out of that stage, then two weeks in special care because she wasn't feeding properly. However, she's great now."
