NORTON WORRIED ABOUT PRE-MARATHON INJURIES
Actor EDWARD NORTON is limping to the starting line for the upcoming New York Marathon - because he keeps picking up injuries around the house.
The Fight Club star will tackle the gruelling run on 1 November (09) - if he can avoid banging his ankles, shins and knees against household objects.
He says, "I was doing great and within the last couple of weeks I've been really getting nailed."
Norton will be joined by three Maasai warriors from Kenya when he hits the streets of New York to raise funds for an African conservation charity, and he's amazed by the fitness and toughness levels of his teammates.
He adds, "They run in sandals that are made out of steel-belted radial tires... We've got Puma sponsoring our team and they're trying to get the Maasai guys into shoes and they're not happy. They're sticking with their Michelins... They're tough."
The Africans are staying with Norton while they're in New York City.
