NORAH'S NOT TOO LATE FOR A NUMBER ONE

NORAH JONES has returned to the top of the US album chart with her first album in three years. The singer/songwriter's acclaimed new release NOT TOO LATE becomes Jones' third successive chart-topper with 405,000 first week sales. Jones leads a charge of AMERICAN IDOL contestants - KATHARINE MCPHEE's self-titled debut enters the new chart at number two, while CHRIS DAUGHTRY's first album remains at number three. CELTIC WOMAN's A NEW JOURNEY debuts at four, while all the other albums in the top 10 slip. Elsewhere, HARRY CONNICK JR's new jazz album tribute to his beloved New Orleans, Louisiana debuts at 11, while MADONNA returns to the charts with THE CONFESSIONS TOUR live CD/DVD package at 15 and British pop sensation LILY ALLEN grazes the top 20 at number 20 with her new release ALRIGHT, STILL.
