NICK NOLTE has turned his Malibu, California estate into a commune for his lady friends. The actor's girlfriend Clytie Lane, ex-wife Rebecca Linger and actress friend Sally Kirkland all live with Nolte. And he's also invited a female spiritualist, who is helping Lane cope with motherhood following the birth of baby Shanti last month (Oct07), into the compound. Friends say the 66-year-old movie star loves being surrounded by the women - he gardens for them and plays the bongo drums as part of their weekly spiritual meetings. One pal tells the National Enquirer the compound has become a hotbed for spiritual energy following little Shanti's birth - Lane's doula, who is called Heather, has put the compound on lockdown to banish negative energy. The friend says, "She's closed off the main house for 40 days to rid the air of negative energy. No one else but Nick, Clytie, Heather and Shanti are allowed in there." And, despite all the female energy on the estate, the source says, "Nick seems to welcome the huge support group."
