NO TAX DEAL FOR SNIPES
LATEST: Prosecutors in the WESLEY SNIPES tax fraud case say there is no deal with the fugitive actor, who is currently filming in Namibia. Following media reports that quoted industry sources as saying Snipes is working on a payment plan, Assistant US Attorney ROBERT O'NEILL said there is no deal. STEVE COLE, spokesman for the US Attorney's Office, was quoted as saying authorities are "making progress toward getting him to the United States". Last month (OCT06), the BLADE star was indicted in Florida on eight charges of fraud, accused of failing to file tax returns for six years and of seeking $12 million (GBP6.7 million) in fraudulent refunds.

On a update, I'm happy to hear that Mr. Snipes has made a deal with the IRS and
will not go to jail. I know he will take care of his business and be more
careful in the furture. I'm very excited about his upcoming movie and I really
enjoyed Hard Luck!!!
I wish they would just get on with it already!!! If they're gonna prosecute him
then do it. They know where he is. Have they talked to him or even gotten his
side of the story? He's not the only star that has been accused of tax fraud;
so get on with it and get it over with so he and his fans can move on!!!
