NO SPARK BETWEEN LILY AND DAMON AS COLLABORATION FAILS
An attempted collaboration between Lily Allen and Damon Albarn has failed after the pair failed to find any creative spark.
According to the Sun the British artists spent a day trying to record together but the session was ultimately unsuccessful.
Albarn said: "The record label thought it would be a good idea. She came down to my studio and she said normally she would just sit around and listen to a musician and come up with some ideas.
"I jumped on the piano and played some mad stuff and she just looked at me it didn't exactly go well."
The former Blur frontman added though: "She's a really talented kid but it was a bad idea."
Blur bassist Alex James recently blamed Albarn for delaying any plans of the band reforming.
"We'll have to sort of take it in turns to not want to do it. I think it's Damon who doesn't want it at the moment, I think it's my turn next," he told the BBC.
Blur have not recorded together since the infamous production sessions for the 2003 album Think Tank, during which guitarist Graham Coxon quit.
