OASIS star LIAM GALLAGHER has dismissed reports he is set to swap music for movies with a new film role.
The singer was rumoured to have signed up to star in the big screen version of Kevin Sampson's novel Powder, based on a rock band's struggle with sex and drugs following their rise to fame.
The reports came after dance music veteran Guru Josh, who has signed on to the project, took to the Internet to boast about starring with Gallagher in the film.
But the rocker is adamant the claims are false.
A representative for the star called the stories "simply not true", adding: "Liam has no plans to be involved on any level with the project."
