NINE INCH NAILS PLANS MORE 'FINAL' SHOWS

Rocker TRENT REZNOR has announced his band NINE INCH NAILS will play a final "handful of shows" - despite previously calling its slot at the 2009 Bonnaroo Festival the group's last performance in the U.S.
The band announced plans for an indefinite hiatus from the American live music scene in December (08), warning fans the recent tour with reunited Jane's Addiction would be its last for the foreseeable future.
They then bowed out with a rousing performance at Tennessee's Bonnaroo in June (09), where frontman Reznor told the crowd he would "lose my mind" if the group continued to tour.
But now Reznor is making plans to hit the road once again with his bandmates, after deciding they wanted to say good-bye to U.S. fans with a string of longer gigs in smaller club venues.
He writes on the band's official website that "the Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction tour felt like we had to rush through sets due to a limited allotted set length and many shows were in daylight - it just didn't feel right to end NIN that way."
Dates for the short trek have not been scheduled, but the band has confirmed it will play in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, Illinois starting 22 August (09).
