NIMOY ABANDONS ACTING FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

STAR TREK star LEONARD NIMOY insists he has no plans to return to acting and has long since turned his attention toward photography. The star, who played MR SPOCK on the classic series, is satisfied with his long and varied acting career and is happy to leave that part of his life in the past. Nimoy claims he quit acting because, "That's not how I want to spend my time. I had far more of it than I ever dreamed I would. "I had great challenges, worked with great people, and I got to do Broadway, so I had more than my share. I'm a very satisfied person. "There were times in my life when I thought I might become a professional photographer...and now I have turned my energy toward fine art photography. "This is my creative outlet now. Some of my work is in various museums around the country and around the world. I'm having a good time with it."
