NIGHY: 'FILM BAN WON'T AFFECT CRUISE MOVIE AT ALL'
LATEST: TOM CRUISE's co-star BILL NIGHY has maintained a filming ban on German military sites won't affect their new project Valkyrie "one bit".
Cruise is playing World War II hero Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg - who led an unsuccessful plot to assassinate Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler - in the new film.
However, efforts to shoot the movie on military sites have been thwarted by Germany's Defence Ministry, allegedly because Cruise's Scientology beliefs are viewed as a "money-making cult" instead of a legitimate church by the German government.
Despite the shooting limitations, Nighy is adamant the movie will be a success.
He tells the New York Post, "I ignore all this stuff. And I don't think it will affect the cast one bit.
"Valkyrie is a heroic tale that deserves to be told."
