Ne-Yo says he was heartbroken after he was forced to walk off stage during the middle of his concert in Manchester last Thursday (16.07.09).

Ne-Yo says he was heartbroken after he was forced to walk off stage during the middle of his concert.

The R'n'B star had to leave his Manchester show after breaking down halfway through his performance last week and still can't get over the disappointment his fans must have felt.

He said on his website: "It literally broke my heart. I've never had to stop a show, never dreamed I'd ever have to. I cried harder than I have in a very long time with no shame whatsoever."

He says he knew something was wrong almost as soon as he started performing.

He added: "From the first song I knew something was wrong. I shoulda stopped there, but I come from a school where no matter what, the show must go on.

"It wasn't until about four songs in that I came to the painful realisation that my voice was done, literally nothing left, and that I would have to stop the show."

Ne-Yo struggled to sing on stage for more than half an hour at the MEN Arena last Thursday (16.07.09).
