NEWTON-JOHN INSISTED ON PRIVATE WEDDINGS
Singer OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN kept her recent double wedding a secret from everyone but her daughter CHLOE - because she feared the nuptials would become a tabloid hell if word got out.
The Aussie star wed businessman John Easterling on a mountaintop in Peru and then made the union legal with a beach ceremony in Florida.
The newlyweds stunned family and friends with the news they had wed at a Independence Day party on 4 July (08).
The singer tells People magazine, "My family was surprised, but my daughter knew - I told my daughter.
"It (wedding ceremony) was the one thing I could keep private. That's how we wanted it because my life is so public."
And Newton-John reveals she'll never forget her magical Peruvian `I dos'.
She adds, "(It was) just a special sacred site that we went to. We walked there, it was a beautiful day and it was just something we wanted to do."
The singer/actress was previously married to daughter Chloe's father Matt Lattanzi. They divorced in 1995.
