NEWMAN SCRAPS EUROPEAN TOUR DATES

Singer/songwriter RANDY NEWMAN has scrapped his upcoming European tour due to exhaustion and back pain.
The 64 year old star had been scheduled to begin an 18-date European tour in Germany on Saturday (01Nov08), but he insists "physical limitations" and "severe pain" have forced him to pull the plug on the shows.
In a statement posted on his website, Newman reveals he's battling "stenosis in the lower back and neck."
He writes, "I deeply regret not being able to come. I like it so much in Europe, and I've always been treated so well. I'll get there as soon as I can."
All dates will be rescheduled.
