NELSON CALLS ON ADAMS AND BAND FOR NEW ALBUM
Country star WILLIE NELSON has handed over the reigns of his new album to rocker RYAN ADAMS and his band. Adams will produce SONGBIRD, while his backing band, the CARDINALS, will support Nelson in the studio. The album, which is scheduled for a Halloween (31OCT06) release, features Nelson's renditions of songs by the GRATEFUL DEAD, GRAM PARSONS and LEONARD COHEN, as well as new tunes from the grizzled country veteran.
