NE-YO TOPS US ALBUM CHARTS IN A GOOD WEEK FOR CANADA

R+B star NE-YO has scored his second US number one album after taking his new record Because of You to the top of the charts. The So Sick singer/songwriter's new release sold 251,000 copies in its opening week to land at the top of the Billboard 200. Crooner Michael Buble is also celebrating after landing his highest charting and best sales week yet with Call Me Irresponsible, which debuts at number two on the new chart with impressive 212,000 first-week sales. Buble's fellow Canadians Rush crash into third place on the new chart with their first studio album in five years, Snakes + Arrows. And yet another Canadian, Avril Lavigne, holds the number four spot after sliding from last week's number one. Tori Amos' new album, American Doll Posse, debuts at number five, earning the acclaimed singer/songwriter her sixth top 10 record. Other new entries in the top 10 are country star Miranda Lambert's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which debuts at number six, and her boyfriend Blake Shelton's fourth album, Pure BS, claims the number eight spot.
