NBC DENIES REPORT THAT GREGORY WILL HOST MEET THE PRESS
NBC News late Monday denied a report that first appeared on the HuffingtonPost website that David Gregory had been selected to become the nextmoderator of Meet the Press . Former NBC anchor Tom Brokaw has beenfilling in as interim moderator since the death of Tim Russert last June.Meanwhile, an analysis of November sweeps data indicated Monday that, withan average of 4.5 million viewers during the month, MTP posted itsbest ratings for the month in four years.
