NATE DOGG SEEKING LEGAL JUDGEMENT AGAINST RECORD BOSS KNIGHT
Hip hop star NATE DOGG is seeking a legal judgement to prevent bankrupt Death Row Records founder MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT from discharging an alleged $10 million (GBP5.07 million) in back royalties to other artists.
The rapper, real name NATHANIEL HALE, claims Knight has never paid him for various hit records he has released during his association with Death Row Records, which stretches back to 1993, according to AllHipHop.com.
Nate Dogg also alleges Knight threatened him with physical violence when he inquired about his royalties, and he claims Knight falsely told him he'd eventually be paid.
The filing also claims Death Row Records has continuously refused to provide accounting for Nate Dogg's record sales during his association with Death Row Records.
