NASH: 'HEART OP INSPIRED MY MUSIC CAREER'

British singer KATE NASH has credited the surgeons who saved her from a life-threatening heart condition with her chart success. The Brit award winner suffered from a potentially fatal heart condition as a teenager and feared she would never be able to fulfil her dreams of becoming a singer. And the 20-year-old has thanked the surgeons who operated on her at 18 for giving her the inspiration to pursue her career ambitions. She says, "The doctors gave me the option of having (my heart) fixed but there were risks. "I'm quite a driven person but (the operation) really pushed me."
