NAS RECRUITS AZ TO FILL IN FOR ABSENT MARLEY

Rapper NAS had to entertain fans on his own at the Rock The Bells hip-hop festival in Washington, D.C. on Sunday (12Jul09) after co-headliner and collaborator DAMIAN 'JR. GONG' MARLEY was forced to pull out of the event.
The two artists have been touring together in promotion of their upcoming album Distant Relatives, but unforeseen circumstances meant Nas was left to perform without Marley on the latest Rock The Bells stop.
But he refused to disappoint gig-goers and brought out old pal AZ for a medley of his early hits, including Life's a B**ch from Nas' debut album Illmatic, and It Was Written's Affirmative Action.
Marley is expected to return to the festival for the Boston, Massachusetts show on Saturday (18Jul09).
