Def Jam label bosses have hit back at reports the company is dropping rapper NAS over his plans to title his next album NIGGER. The I Can hitmaker made headlines last year (07) when he announced plans for the name of his new album, and rumours have circulated this week (beg21Jan08) that he has been dropped because of the fuss. But a spokesman for Def Jam insists the reports are false and the label will release the album, as planned, next month (Feb08). The insider tells Rolling Stone magazine, "That is absolutely ridiculous and untrue."
