NAS & MARLEY COLLABORATIVE ALBUM IN THE WORKS

Hip-hop icon NAS is teaming up with reggae star DAMIAN 'JUNIOR GONG' MARLEY to release a new album.The I Can hitmaker reveals he has been busy in the studio with Bob Marley's son to produce a disc paying tribute to their cultural roots.
He tells MTV.com, "Right now, I'll tell you first, I'm working on an album with Damian Marley, and we tryin' to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment.
"We're tryin' to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record's... all about really the 'hood and Africa also as well. That's coming out real soon."
The project has yet to get a release date, but Nas is aiming for this spring (09), adding: "(It's) too early to tell the title or anything like that."
