MYSPACE THE GO-TO PLACE FOR MOVIES
Nielsen Media Research, in a study conducted for the social-networking site MySpace, has determined that MySpace is the top destination on the Internet for 15- to-24-year-olds looking for information about new movies. The study found that 30 percent of the young moviegoers access MySpace first for movie searches, compared with 23 percent for Yahoo and Google and 14 percent for AOL. The same study found that among adults 15-34, the Internet has become the main source of information about new movies, edging out television. In a statement, Jeff Berman, president of sales and marketing for MySpace, said "The Nielsen study shows that if you want to reach a passionate movie audience, MySpace is the place to focus your efforts. ... MySpace has fast become the world's largest movie influencer site."
