MY MORNING JACKET SCRAP EUROPEAN TOUR

MY MORNING JACKET have been forced to cancel their entire European tour, due to injuries which frontman Jim James sustained at a recent gig.

James damaged his torso after falling at a show in Chicago on October 7th and has been advised to rest by his doctor.

The band had been due to kick off the tour in Belgium on November 1st before heading over to the UK on the 12th, but a statement has been released announcing the complete cancellation.

"It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of My Morning Jacket's up-coming tour to Europe due to injuries suffered by Jim James in Iowa City. For the fans who have purchased tickets, we would like to extend our gratitude for your support and understanding," it read.

The band added that they had hoped to just postpone the shows, but scheduling conflicts have not made it possible to do so.

Previously James announced he would be playing benefits this month in support of US presidential candidate Barack Obama.
