MY GENERATION NAMED BEST TEEN ANTHEM
THE WHO's classic single MY GENERATION has been voted the most popular teenage anthem of all time.
The 1965 track beat out competition from CYNDI LAUPER's GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN in the poll of 2,000 British adults to mark the 50th anniversary of the term 'teenager'.
In third place came ALICE COOPER's SCHOOL'S OUT.
HOWARD BOWDEN of public relations firm 3 MONKEYS, who conducted the survey, says, "My Generation is closest to expressing the confusion, anger and excitement of being a teenager."
