Rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE are hoping the injuries they suffered filming their latest video will help them win a clutch of prizes at next year's (07) MTV Video Music Awards. The group performed 70 storeys above New York at the Top Of The Rock during last night's (31AUG06) ceremony but next year they hope to rule the show. Frontman GERARD WAY admits he and his bandmates suffered for their art shooting the video for new single WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE. Way said, "FRANKIE (IERO) tackled me and tore all the ligaments in my leg and I thought it's probably gonna be the best shot in the video. "BOB (BRYAR) also got a third degree burn but it's really because we wanted to be extremely close to the fire (in the video)."
