MUSE frontman and self-confessed conspiracy theorist MATT BELLAMY claims dark forces are behind his band's defeat to the ARCTIC MONKEYS at the Mercury Prize last night (05SEP06). The PLUG IN BABY rocker admits he always questions the official versions of important events, even doubting OSAMA BIN LADEN masterminded the 11th September 2001 terrorist attacks in America. He says, "There's definitely a conspiracy theory for this one. "The whole world is conspiring against us. Something like that." Muse were nominated for their latest album BLACK HOLES + REVELATIONS but were beaten by the Arctic Monkey's debut WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT'S WHAT I'M NOT.
