MURPHY'S INABILITY TO WRITE 'GIRL'S MUSIC'

Singer ROISIN MURPHY finds it hard to relate to the new batch of British female singer-songwriters - because she doesn't feel like a woman when she's writing.
The former Moloko star insists she isn't similar to lauded stars such as Kate Nash, Adele and KT Tunstall, as she's unable to write "girl's music".
She says, "I've been doing this a long time and I don't feel I'm one of the new wave of female singer-songwriters.
"In fact, I don't even feel like I'm a bird (a woman) when I'm writing. If it came to writing girls' music, I'd be stumped."
