MURPHY TURNED DOWN RECORD DEAL

CILLIAN MURPHY is "glad" he turned down the chance to become a rock star - as he fears he would have signed all his rights away to greedy music executives.
The Batman Begins actor was previously an aspiring musician in rock band Sons of Mister Green Jeans and was offered a lucrative record deal in 1996.
But Murphy turned his back on his music career - because he didn't want to sell out to a major label.
He says, "We were offered a record deal by a record company in London but it wasn't the right time and I'm very glad in retrospect that we didn't sign because you kind of sign away your life to a label and the whole of your music.
"Nowadays people can record in their bedroom and they can make something that's full of integrity and then licence it to a record label."
