MURPHY FACES 'POSITIVE PATERNITY TEST'

Mel B appears to have won her battle to prove that Eddie Murphy is the father of her most recent child.

People magazine quotes a spokesperson from Melanie Brown's camp as saying that a blood test has revealed the baby has the same DNA as the famous Hollywood actor.

Murphy, who had a relationship with Mel B before splitting up with her at the end of last year, insisted he would not accept his paternity without scientific proof after the pop star named her child after him earlier this year.

Angel Iris Murphy Brown, who was born on April 3rd in a hospital in California, has Murphy's "big smile and dimples," according to the former Spice Girl.

Now it seems more concrete proof of him being her father will have to spark a climbdown for the Shrek and The Nutty Professor star.

Murphy already has five children with his former wife, while Mel B has a seven-year-old daughter with her former husband.
