MR. T: 'ADVERT IS NOT HOMOPHOBIC'
MR. T has denied a recently pulled advert for a candy bar was homophobic - insisting he didn't mean to offend people.
The actor - real name Laurence Tureaud - shoots Snickers bars at a speed walker in the `Get Some Nuts' commercial, before yelling, "You are a disgrace to the man race. It's time to run like a real man."
The advert was subsequently axed from British TV screens last month (Jul08) after upsetting gay groups.
But The A-Team star denies the advert was homophobic.
He says, "I am not homophobic. I'm not a gay basher. I didn't say anything that was negative, derogatory or malicious.
"I would never do a commercial if I thought it was going to offend anyone."

i can sympathie with mr t's comments i think
that the advert was wrongfully banned all
because the gay factorial groups got the wrong
end of the stick the advert was in no indecation
of being gay or racist the adverts plot was telling
an useless runner to gain more energy by hurteling
snickers bars at him and mr t's comments was wisecracking and funny i have never
seen mr t bieng racist or homophobic because i have grown up
of watching mr t in the ateam and other 80's shows
and if people complain about adverts like these why dont they simply watch something
else by using a remote myself like mr t is not racist or homophobic.
