MOS DEF COURT APPEARANCE POSTPONED

MOS DEF was given permission to postpone a scheduled New York court appearance yesterday (16NOV06) to face charges relating to his arrest outside the MTV Video Music Awards in August (06). The BLACK ON BOTH SIDES star - real name DANTE SMITH - was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after he put on an unauthorised show outside New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Smith performed KATRINA CLAP, a savage attack on US President GEORGE W BUSH's administration's slow response to Hurricane Katrina last year (05), before NYPD officers told him and his entourage to pull the plug and began making arrests. He will appear now appear in court next week (begs20NOV06) along with his co-defendants, reports AllHipHop.com.
