MORTIMER STUDIES RAPE VICTIMS FOR NEW ROLE

Actress EMILY MORTIMER researched her new character for DAVID MAMET's REDBELT by studying with a rape counsellor.
The Pink Panther star plays a rape victim in the new film and decided to get into the mind of her character by learning all about the psyche of those who have been sexually violated.
She says, "I spoke to a rape crisis counselor in preparation for this part and one of the things that she talked about was this feeling of guilt that very often is associated with a victim of rape.
"They feel like they could've done something to stop it... and it's their fault if they didn't. That's one of the problems of the fallout of being raped."
