MORRISSEY SINGS PRAISES OF THE COURTEENERS

MORRISSEY has been once again been singing the praises of fellow Mancunians THE COURTEENERS.

The former SMITHS singer has been an admirer of the outfit since they appeared on the scene, even showing up at their live appearances.

Speaking during an interview on US radio station KWRC, the Manc legend explained why he is so enamoured of the band.

"Every song was very strong and full of hooks and full of dynamics," he said. "I thought, 'This is great'."

"Because so many groups in England, they're hyped and they're huge and they're all over the press and they don't really actually have anything on offer… but it's different with The Courteeners, they actually do have very good, strong songs."

"I think they will make it here (in the US) and I think you'll come across them."

Elsewhere, it was recently reported that MORRISSEY has split from his management company ie: music after just three months.
